I chose to study Japanese because I am half Japanese, and want to communicate with my mother’s side of the family better. Learning how to read and write, while improving my speaking, will help me to express myself to my Japanese family more coherently. I am excited to understand the written language of Japanese, and learn how to communicate beyond just speaking.
